At Shift Billing, Revenue Cycle Management consists of four major parts; Verification of Benefits (VOBs), Utilization Review, Billing and Analysis. Each part of this process is completely essential in order to optimize revenue. VOBs ensure coverage, outline necessary information and present key performance indicators so you are able to get an idea of the level of reimbursement you might expect. Billing consists of submitting clean claims, accurate coding, follow-up, application of payments, and appeals. Utilization Review consists of authorizing the maximum amount of days per level of care based on medical necessity. Analysis consists of various elements including, level of care authorization performance, reimbursement trends, days to receive payment, aging accounts analysis, insurance trends, appeal success rates, and more!
